Kaladgad

Kaladgad is a remote fort located in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India. It is located near Harishchandragad. The fort top is 1150 meter above msl. The fort is accessible fromPethechiwadi village. The village is located in Mula river basin. It is located at the dead end of the Bota-Kotul-Lavali–Paachnai-Pethechiwadi road, which runs along the north base of harishchandragad range. Pethechiwadi village is 860 meter above msl. The village has couple of small temples, in which the Mariaai and Bhairoba paats (wooden small temple houses) which can be carried out during the procession) are placed. The small metallic plates depicting the gods are placed on these paats. Outside the temple, there is a beautiful mulberry tree which is full of fruits during monsoon and post monsoon season. The base of thefort is about a km south of the village on the road towards Paachnai. So the climb from village to Kaladgad fort top is about 290 meter. The climb is steep with steep rock patch, near the top. Though the patch has steps carved in rock, the patch is exposed. There is a bhairoba cave few meters below the top level. There are many interesting aspects of this fort. On the village side of the hill, there is a cave which has Bhairoba deity. The cave also has couple of other sculptures. On the opposite side (south end), there is another deity kept in open, in a small temple, with few spherical stones. The villagers lift the stones, during festivals, hoping for their wishes are fulfilled. There are couple of water tanks on this south side. From the north side of the fort, one can see the beautiful range of Aajoba. Peaks of Bhairavgad, Ghanachakkar, Muda, Aajoba and Katrabai pass can be seen on the north side. Towards west one can see the sadhaleghat, and towards south west, one can see Nhapta peaks. On the south side of the fort, one can see the pinnacle of Kaladgad (adjacent), Harishchandragad peaks. On the east the view is blocked by Ganesh Machi of Harishchandragad.

अहमदनगर जिल्ह्यात, हरिश्चंद्रगडाजवळ असलेल्या कलाडगडाची उंची समुद्रसपाटीपासुन ११५० मीटर आहे. डोंगराचे २ भाग आहेत. मुख्य भागात भैरोबाचे देवस्थान आहे. डोंगराच्या दुसऱ्या भागात लहान सुळके आहेत. गडाच्या उत्तरेला पेठेची वाडी गाव आहे. मुळा नदीच्या तीरावर वसलेले हे गाव, समुद्रसपाटीपासुन ८६० मीटर उंचीवर आहे. लव्हाळी-पाचनई-पेठेचीवाडी हा रस्ता या गावात येउन थांबतो. गावात ठाकर समाजाची वस्ती असुन येथे २ लहान देवळे आहेत. मरिआई व भैरोबाच्या या देवळात पाट आहेत. लाकडी पाटांवर देवाच्या पट्ट्या आहेत. नक्षीकाम आहे. देवळाबाहेर तुती (मलबेरी) चे झाड आहे. पावसाळ्यानंतर झाडावर लाल काळी फळे असतात. गडाचा पायथा गावापासुन अंदाजे १ कि मी आहे. गडावर पोहोचण्यास अंदाजे २००-२२५ मीटर चढावे लागते. वरच्या भागात कातळात पायऱ्या असुन, येथे आधार कमी आहे. (पावसाळ्यात धोकादायक). माथ्याच्या थोडे खाली कोपऱ्यावर भैरोबाची गुहा आहे. गुहेत भैरोबा आहे. त्याच्या डावीकडे दिव्याचा स्तंभ असुन, समोर शिळा आहे. शेंदुर फासल्यामुळे शिळेवरचे कोरिवकाम अस्पष्ट झाले आहे. गुहेत कमालीचा गारवा असतो. गुहेला भेगा असुन त्यात पाणी ठिबकते. गुहेबाहेर सर्प शिल्पे आहेत. कातळालगत कड्याच्या बाजुने वाट दक्षिण टोकाकडे जाते. येथे मोकळ्यावर पाण्याच्या टाक्या, बांधकामाचे अवशेष आहेत. लहान माळावर देवाचे दगड आहेत. गावकरी इच्छा मनात धरुन दगड उचलतात. वरवर अंधश्रद्धा वाटत असली तरी हा प्रकार म्हणजे मनात गाठ मारण्याचा एक प्रकार आहे. गडाच्या दक्षिण टोकावरुन बाजुला सुळका दिसतो. पल्याड न्हाप्ता, व पुर्वेकडे हरिश्चंद्राची शिखरे दिसतात. पश्चिमेला साधळे घाट, व उत्तरेस आजोबा-घनचक्कर रांग दिसते. दक्षिणेला माळशेज रांग पुसट दिसते. धुके व धुरामुळे हा भाग स्पष्ट दिसणे अवघड आहे.
